Where's ma party people at?

The time has finally come.

The turn out was so good at the private launch party last Friday & Saturday! Apart from the crowd, the music was good, and so was the atmosphere. I totally dig the lights at the new club. SADLY, the whole time I was at the door. :( Soooo, do come by and say hi/make me feel a little better about missing out on the fun ok? It's been great meeting new people at work actually. Everyone's so nice & friendly. It's also been great to be the sober one watching drunk people leave the club instead of it almost always being the other way around for me..................

If you're sexy and you know it, here's where you have to be on the 19th of November. You don't want to miss this one. And do try the new drink called Dosage, it's one wicked mix ;)

...

I really need to go shopping cos I need more outfits for work. For the longest time, I've lived in shorts, loose tops and my fit flops, so much so that I've forgotten how to dress up. Actually, I may even need a complete wardrobe overhaul. Ok, I want. Or need? Want. Need. Hmm. I never ever get them right. I need to want less. Yes. Okay.

...

The birthday parties were preeetttty much a success! Time was a major constraint but i'm glad we managed to pull both off and the most important part is, the birthday kids are happy ^_^ Update again soon!

Thoughts at 1am

Days like today, you give yourself a reminder like this one.
But you never, ever, give up. Life is still beautiful. Maybe you can't see that right now, you can't even see it being beautiful in a few days, weeks, or months. Don't get despondent. It's all in the moments. Treasure them when they come. And whenever you feel down, look to your treasure chest of beautiful moments. Relish them. Relive them. Remind yourself of them. And tell yourself that these moments may have come to pass, but take joy in the fact that they will come again. In other forms. In another time. And they will keep coming. Don't give up. It's just a bad day. Not a bad life.

Fire Away

Hi guys!!! I can't believe it's already November! HOW DID TIME JUST SLIP BY LIKE THAT?!
I'm going to be a little busy over the next few days. So many parties to plan, but i'm not complaining because it's been pretty fun. Most importantly, the parties are being planned for the most important people in my life, my bestfriend & boyfriend. So I'm all hyped up and I hope it'll be a blast. What that means for you is a HOW TO PLAN A PARTY post on two very different themes (which i'll reveal in time to come ;) !) I'm not very good at planning schedules and things like that but I absolutely LOVE planning parties? Lyd & I have this crazy ambition of becoming party planners since we were 14.

So I made this super awesome poster for my boyfriend (to be revealed next week) and while listening to David Guetta ft Sia - Titanium and doing that... I got distractedinspired! So here are some fun shots. :)

For updates, follow my twitter or my tumblr~ Til then, I hope you all had a good start to November XOX

Happy Halloween, Readers!

I really don't know how I'm going to start blogging on my Italy trip. So many, too many photos. If you're on my Facebook then you'd probably have seen most of it though! ;) I'll work on it soon so in the mean time...

Here's what I do when I blog. I need my trinity of Mac products.

(Please excuse the finger prints, this shows that I was busy at work~)
Phone: For texting, calls, and sometimes I use my iPhone4's camera, so I use Dropbox and link it to my Macbook Pro.
iPad: Here's where I edit my photos, add text on them, and then Dropbox it when i'm done!
MacBook Pro: Here's where the magic happens! CLICHE~ Dropbox links everything here and I sort them out into folders, then start on blogging! ;D Btw I never realized how much this emoticon fit me til I realized I keep taking photos with this expression. ;D

So I was all dressed up and couldn't resist taking a few shots before leaving the house. Trying out my new pink lipstick from The Body Shop! Shall do a post on the products i'm using soon. Their new range of Mineral products are AWESOME. It took me years to finally feel satisfied about my make up products? Cause i'll try, try again, til I find something that fits. And so far, The Body Shop's and Chanel's are the best.

OK side-tracked for a moment.

I bothered to doll up because I haven't seen my boyfriend in 5 days? Umm, we used to see each other e v e r y d a y, so 5 is a lot. We're both so busy now and have commitments at work and school so it's been very hard. But what's important is that the love is there and that we try to make things work! :) Plus, he is mega patient with me. So i'm really lucky.

AND... to show my appreciation, for the first time in our whole dating period of almost a year now - I was early to meet him!

First thing to settle - EMPTY STOMACHS. So we headed to Tampopo Ramen. It's funny because Lenn had suggested Din Tai Fung but i'm all for saving $$ now (the faster I save, the faster I can get on a plane to Europe again ;D) so I said let's go to a food court! But, we walked past Tampopo and had cravings..........

Unagi set

Shoyu Black Pig Ramen

Scallops. This turned out pretty good as I was skeptical about the egg yolk at first.

And Lennon was curious about the crabs so we tried them. So much for saving money. One little crab is like $2?

Guess what he was doing? I was supposed to eat that crab and he said "can I bite off the legs first?" and i'm like "ooOooOkay, go ahead" and I thought he'd just eat everything but no, he gave me the body and said "Okay! Done! You can eat now!"

-.-

We walked aimlessly around town after that. The shopping in SG is so bad :\ I really need new clothes though.

Oh right, and before I go, here are some pictures from last night at Avalon! There's more but not in my camera.

Being the sua ku I am, I have not been to MBS til yesterday night and I was impressed by how classy a Gongcha store can be when you are located at a place like MBS!

With Angelina, the famed tumblr fitness goddess of http://fitbunney.tumblr.com/!

Favourite moment was when I was leaving, I looked down and saw Steve Aoki leaving as well, with a trail of bouncers. He was walking at a normal pace at first, and I was like O_O and then some girls screamed "OMG IT'S STEVE AOKI!" and he started running, although they weren't chasing him. Singaporeans probably rave only when it comes to K-Pop huh. I'd chase Aoki & Skrillex any day though. My long-haired music gods... <3

I wish I had the time to join in the fun of Halloween celebrations. Instead, I am here while everyone's off partying. Hope you guys had a freaky night and ask me out to party in 2012 ok? xx

No Beef

See you guys tonight at Avalon!
I'm all hyped up because I've always been a big fan of his! *_*

Nothing Like A Cuppa

So 4 days after I came back, I suffered from major withdrawal symptoms from my trip to Europe. I was missing the air, the sidewalks, the cafes, the coffees (which were so amazing, I had at least 3 cups a day), the people watching, the quiet that you can seek when you need a break from walking in the busy streets. I just can't get the same atmosphere here in Singapore. It's too chaotic. There's no place you can go to "hide out" from the crowds, unless you go home.

This was taken in Florence, at one of the cafes that served one of the best cappuccino I've tried in all of Europe. Look at me! I was so happy! No photoshop ok, I was really glowing when I was there because I was just so damn happy.

Anyway, being the sweetheart she is, my babygirl took me to a quaint little corner on Ann Siang Hill to a very lovely cafe called Shots. It was just what I needed.

Appropriately named, they pride themselves in being one of the few cafes in Singapore to have their own signature blend of coffee.

At this moment, I need to rave about their decor. I love the strong red exterior that's bold and stands out among the shophouses. Then you head inside, and it's all white & sophisticated. The minimalist look may appeal to some as cold but not here. They've done it well as both of us took to the place at once, but chose to sat outside. Why? Because that's how the Parisians do! And when I was in Europe, I kept texting Lyd to tell her that I wished she was in Paris with me so we could sit alfresco and people watch while we sip on coffees & teas. Le sigh.

We didn't have any desserts this time because we hadn't seen each other in 3 weeks and there was so much to catch up on that we sat there talking for hours. I love days like this. Tranquil, simple, away from the crowds, coffee and girly talks. This would definitely happen every other day if I were a Parisian. Well, a girl can dream right?

"A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent."

Starry-eyed

Hey everyone! I'm back with a very, umm, sloppy video BUT wait for it, I'll be posting updates on my trip by location probably some time this week! I had trouble publishing this post though I did it 2 days after I got back. So I had to edit it all over again :( Updates on my first trip to Shots @ Ann Siang Hill, and a birthday party at the Ritz Carlton, etc. alllll coming right up too!

Honestly, I've been so busy & needed a lot of time out to sort through my life as well. I've hit a really rough patch this time, but I must say, it's incredible the things you can do with the encouragement of friends & family. I have to remind myself to overcome things before they overcome me.
